Hammond, also known as Wrecking Ball, is a Tank hero in the popular team-based shooter, Overwatch. He is a highly intelligent hamster who pilots a technologically advanced, spherical mech suit.

Born on the Horizon Lunar Colony, Hammond was genetically engineered, enhancing his intellect and physical abilities. He demonstrated a penchant for escaping his enclosure and interfering with colony operations, particularly tinkering with robotics.

During the colony's uprising, Hammond attached his escape pod to Winston's, allowing both to escape to Earth. However, their pods separated, with Hammond landing in Junkertown, Australia.

In Junkertown, he quickly adapted to the gladiatorial lifestyle, modifying his escape pod into a formidable fighting machine. He rose through the ranks, becoming a champion known as Wrecking Ball, all while concealing his true identity as a hamster within the mech.

Now, Hammond travels the world, seeking new challenges and opportunities, his intentions often shrouded in playful chaos. He fights alongside Overwatch at times, although his motivations remain largely self-serving and driven by curiosity.
