Dr. Egon Spengler is a fictional character first appearing in the 1984 movie *Ghostbusters*. He is one of the three original parapsychologists who found and formed the Ghostbusters team.
Portrayed by Harold Ramis, Egon is the brains of the operation, providing much of the scientific knowledge and technological expertise behind their ghost-catching equipment. He is known for his socially awkward demeanor, dry wit, and unwavering dedication to scientific research.
