Emil Blonsky, also known as Abomination, is a Marvel Comics supervillain, typically depicted as an adversary of the Hulk.

Born in Zagreb, Yugoslavia, Blonsky was a Soviet KGB operative and spy. During a mission to infiltrate a Gamma research facility where Bruce Banner had become the Hulk, Blonsky exposed himself to a similar, yet far more potent, dose of gamma radiation. He then intentionally exacerbated the process, transforming himself into a monstrous being stronger and more powerful than the Hulk.

Unlike Banner, Blonsky retains his intellect and personality in his transformed state, allowing him to strategize and exploit weaknesses. However, his transformation is permanent, leaving him trapped in his grotesque form. This permanent transformation and the resulting physical dominance over the Hulk initially fueled his rivalry.

Abomination has consistently been portrayed as a ruthless and destructive force, often employed by various organizations to achieve their goals. He has battled numerous heroes, cementing his status as a significant threat within the Marvel Universe.
