Biography:
Wights are reanimated corpses controlled by White Walkers in the HBO TV show Game of Thrones. They are essentially undead soldiers in the White Walker army.
The first wights viewers see are in the very first episode, "Winter is Coming", when members of the Night's Watch discover a group of them beyond the Wall. These wights are initially believed to be wildlings.
Wights are animated through dark magic and possess unnatural strength and resilience. Their primary goal is to kill living beings and add to their ranks. They are vulnerable to fire and dragonglass (obsidian).
These creatures pose a significant threat to the living inhabitants of Westeros and beyond, especially as the army of the dead marches south. The wights are not independent thinkers and act only on the orders of the White Walkers.
