Michelle Jones, often referred to as MJ, is a character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), portrayed by actress Zendaya.

Initially presented as a sardonic and observant classmate of Peter Parker, MJ's character evolves throughout the MCU Spider-Man films. She's intelligent, independent, and possesses a dry wit, often making sarcastic remarks. While initially distant, she develops a close bond with Peter and Ned Leeds.

MJ's role becomes more significant in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), where she and Peter begin a romantic relationship. She is shown to be perceptive and supportive of Peter's dual life as Spider-Man. Her character is a modern reimagining of the classic Mary Jane Watson, but with a distinct personality and background unique to the MCU.
