Donna Troy, also known as Wonder Girl, debuted in The Brave and the Bold #60 (July 1965). In the DC Rebirth continuity, her origins are complex and tied to the machinations of the Titans' adversaries.
Initially, Donna's history involved being rescued by Wonder Woman from a fire. However, Rebirth retconned this, revealing she was one of several identical clay simulacra created by the Amazonian sorceress Derinoe and intended to replace Wonder Woman.
Each simulacrum was imbued with fragments of the original Wonder Woman's memories and skills. The other Donna simulacrums were captured and corrupted, and Donna was left unaware of her true nature. Eventually, she learned her true origin and struggled to reconcile her identity with her artificial creation.
