Goose is a Flerken, an alien species resembling Earth cats, appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Goose's first appearance was in the 2019 film *Captain Marvel*.
Originally appearing to be an ordinary cat adopted by Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Goose is revealed to be a dangerous alien capable of extending tentacles and swallowing large objects into a pocket dimension within its body.
Goose plays a key role in the MCU, notably swallowing the Tesseract (Space Stone) for safekeeping during the events of *Captain Marvel*, later regurgitating it, allowing it to fall into the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Goose is portrayed as intelligent and affectionate, forming a bond with Nick Fury, who suffers a scratch from Goose, resulting in his iconic eye injury.
