Kyle Rayner is a significant figure within the Lantern Corps of the DC Universe, most notably as a Blue Lantern. He first appeared in Green Lantern Vol. 3 #48 (January 1994).

Initially a freelance graphic artist, Kyle was unexpectedly chosen by the last Guardian of the Universe, Ganthet, to wield the last Green Lantern ring. Unlike previous Green Lanterns, Kyle's ring was not tied to the Central Power Battery on Oa, granting him unique abilities and freedom.

Later, after mastering the emotional spectrum, Kyle briefly achieved the status of Ion, a living embodiment of willpower. He eventually moved beyond the green light of willpower, embodying all seven colors of the emotional spectrum and becoming the White Lantern for a time. He later channeled the blue light of hope and became a member of the Blue Lantern Corps. Kyle's extensive experience with various Lantern Corps and his ability to harness different emotional energies make him a unique and powerful hero in the DC Universe.
