Illidan Stormrage is a prominent character within the World of Warcraft universe, first appearing in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002). He is a night elf born before the War of the Ancients, a conflict that shaped the history of Azeroth.

Driven by a thirst for power and a desire to defeat the Burning Legion, Illidan made questionable choices, including embracing demonic energies. This led to his transformation into a demon hybrid, granting him immense power but also earning him exile and the title of "The Betrayer."
