Biography:
Sylvanas Windrunner is a prominent character in the World of Warcraft universe, first appearing in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002). She was originally a high elf ranger-general of Silvermoon, fiercely loyal to her kingdom and people.
During the Third War, she valiantly defended Quel'Thalas against the Scourge led by Arthas Menethil. Despite her efforts, Silvermoon fell, and Sylvanas was slain and resurrected as a banshee. Forced to serve the Lich King, she eventually broke free from his control.
As the Banshee Queen, Sylvanas founded the Forsaken, a faction of undead who, like her, had regained their free will. She led them in a quest for vengeance against the Scourge and to establish a new home in the ruins of Lordaeron. Her actions and motivations have been a source of conflict and debate within the Horde, where the Forsaken became allied.
