Yon-Rogg is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), specifically appearing in the 2019 film Captain Marvel.
He is a Kree Starforce commander and mentor to Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel). Played by Jude Law, Yon-Rogg initially presents himself as a supportive figure, guiding Danvers in harnessing her powers and suppressing her memories of her past life on Earth.
However, it is later revealed that Yon-Rogg manipulated Danvers, exploiting her amnesia and controlling her abilities for the Kree's benefit. He is ultimately exposed as an antagonist with selfish motives and loses his final battle with Captain Marvel.
