Ghost-Spider, also known as Spider-Gwen, is a Marvel Comics superheroine originating from an alternate universe. Her real name is Gwen Stacy.
In her reality, Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker, granting her spider-like abilities. She initially kept her powers secret, balancing her life as a drummer in a band with her crime-fighting activities.
Tragically, Gwen's best friend, Peter Parker, attempts to gain powers to become a hero like her, but the resulting experiment transforms him into a Lizard-like creature. Gwen is forced to fight him, and he dies in the confrontation.
Framed for Peter's death and branded a menace by the public and police, Gwen adopts the identity of Ghost-Spider. She operates as a vigilante, grappling with the guilt and consequences of her actions while striving to protect her city.
