Kenshiro is the protagonist of the post-apocalyptic martial arts manga series Fist of the North Star, created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara.
He is the successor to the deadly assassination art of Hokuto Shinken, a fighting style that allows him to destroy opponents from within by striking their vital pressure points. Kenshiro roams a desolate wasteland, protecting the innocent from ruthless gangs and tyrannical warlords.
His first appearance was in the debut issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1983.
