Emma Frost, also known as the White Queen, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, associated primarily with the X-Men.

She made her first full appearance in The Uncanny X-Men #129 (January 1980), as a villain. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne, Emma Frost was initially portrayed as the cold and calculating White Queen of the Hellfire Club, a secret society seeking power and influence.

Possessing powerful telepathic abilities, Emma Frost eventually undergoes a significant transformation, evolving from a foe to a valuable member of the X-Men. She later develops a secondary mutation that allows her to transform her body into organic diamond, granting her increased strength, durability, and immunity to telepathic attacks, while suppressing her telepathic abilities.
