Nightshade, also known as Eve Eden, is a DC Comics superheroine who debuted in Captain Atom #82 (1966) but became more prominent in the 1980s.
Born on the mystical Nightshade Isle, Eve is the daughter of a human scientist and an alien being from a dimension of living darkness. This unique heritage grants her the power to manipulate shadows and darkness.
Eve can merge with shadows, teleport through them, and create constructs of solidified darkness. Her abilities also afford her a degree of invisibility and intangibility when surrounded by shadows.
As Nightshade, she often works as an intelligence operative and covert agent. She was a key member of the Suicide Squad, utilizing her skills in stealth and infiltration for the team's dangerous missions.
