Biography:
Carson Palmer is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons. Born December 27, 1979, he played college football at the University of Southern California (USC), winning the Heisman Trophy in 2002.
Palmer was drafted first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Bengals from 2003 to 2010, leading them to their first winning season and playoff appearance in over a decade. Following a trade demand, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders in 2011, playing there for two seasons.
Palmer's final stop was with the Arizona Cardinals, where he played from 2013 to 2017. He experienced a career resurgence in Arizona, leading the team to an NFC Championship Game appearance in 2015. He retired from the NFL after the 2017 season due to multiple injuries.
Throughout his NFL career, Palmer was known for his strong arm and ability to make accurate deep throws. He amassed over 46,000 passing yards and 294 touchdown passes. While he never won a Super Bowl, Palmer had a notable and impactful career across multiple franchises.
