Biography:
Elliott, portrayed by Henry Thomas, is a central character in the 1982 Steven Spielberg film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. He first appears at the beginning of the movie as a lonely child living in suburban California.
Elliott is a young boy struggling with his parents' separation. He encounters and befriends an extraterrestrial being, whom he nicknames "E.T." Elliott and E.T. form a deep empathic bond, experiencing each other's emotions and physical sensations.
Throughout the film, Elliott, his brother Michael, and sister Gertie work to protect E.T. from government authorities and help him "phone home." Elliott's compassion and determination are key to the alien's survival and eventual return to his own planet.
