Simon Masrani is a fictional character in the Jurassic Park franchise, first appearing in the 2015 film Jurassic World.
Masrani is the CEO of the Masrani Global Corporation, a vast conglomerate that owns InGen and, consequently, Jurassic World. He inherited the company from his close friend, John Hammond. Unlike Hammond, Masrani is portrayed as a more hands-on and profit-driven businessman, though he retains a genuine sense of wonder and respect for the dinosaurs. He tragically dies during the Indominus Rex incident in Jurassic World, when his helicopter crashes while attempting to contain the escaped hybrid dinosaur.
