Snoke is a significant antagonist in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, first appearing visually in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), though his presence was hinted at earlier.
He serves as the Supreme Leader of the First Order, a military junta born from the remnants of the Galactic Empire. A powerful figure in the dark side of the Force, Snoke seduced Kylo Ren to the dark side and uses him as an apprentice.
As revealed in Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, Snoke's origins and true nature are largely shrouded in mystery. He is depicted as humanoid, but with significant deformities and scars, suggesting a tumultuous past. He is ultimately betrayed and killed by Kylo Ren.
