Thomas B. Kin Chong (born May 24, 1938), most famously known as Tommy Chong, is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, writer, and musician. He gained widespread recognition as one half of the iconic comedy duo Cheech and Chong.

Chong's comedic persona, often a laid-back, drug-enthusiastic hippie, first appeared alongside Cheech Marin in their stand-up routines and comedy albums. Their act transitioned into film with the release of "Up in Smoke" in 1978. This movie cemented their place in counter-culture comedy.

As Cheech and Chong, Tommy's character typically involved a love of marijuana and a somewhat naive and comical world view.
