The Iron Hills Dwarfs are a hardy and disciplined group of Dwarves dwelling in the Iron Hills of Middle Earth. They are distinct from other Dwarf clans, known for their military prowess and the strength of their iron mines.
The Iron Hills Dwarves feature prominently in *The Hobbit* movies. While the characters were not in the book in a meaningful way, they were expanded significantly for the films. The Iron Hills Dwarves answer the call of Thorin Oakenshield, reinforcing the besieged company at the Lonely Mountain.
Dáin Ironfoot, a key leader of the Iron Hills Dwarfs, appears leading a heavily armored army. They fight valiantly in the Battle of Five Armies, helping to turn the tide against the invading Wargs and Goblins.
