Biography:
Herman Schultz, known as Shocker, is a minor antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing primarily in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He is portrayed by Bokeem Woodbine.
Schultz is a member of Adrian Toomes' (Vulture) crew, acting as an enforcer and weapons specialist. He utilizes gauntlets equipped with vibratory shock technology derived from Chitauri weaponry recovered after the Battle of New York.
Originally the second-in-command, Schultz is briefly designated "Shocker" after the previous user, Jackson Brice, is accidentally killed. He continues to use the gauntlets, engaging Spider-Man in combat during Peter Parker's efforts to stop Toomes' illicit arms dealing.
While a capable fighter, Shocker is ultimately outmatched by Spider-Man's abilities and is eventually apprehended. His role is primarily that of a supporting character, highlighting the grounded, blue-collar nature of Toomes' criminal operation within the broader MCU.
