Leonardo is a fictional character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise. He is the tactical leader and the most disciplined of the four turtles. His signature weapons are a pair of katana swords.

Leonardo's first appearance was in *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1*, published in May 1984 by Mirage Studios. He is named after the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. In many iterations, he's often portrayed as having a strong sense of honor and duty, striving to be a perfect ninja.

Throughout various TMNT media, Leonardo is depicted with a blue mask. He is often portrayed as having a close bond with his sensei, Master Splinter, and takes Splinter's teachings very seriously, trying to emulate the wisdom of his adoptive father.
