Tom Riddle, later known as Lord Voldemort, was a highly gifted but troubled student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Sorted into Slytherin house, he excelled academically and possessed an exceptional talent for magic.

Born in an orphanage in 1926, Riddle was the product of a love potion-induced union between Merope Gaunt and Tom Riddle Sr. His mother died shortly after his birth, and he grew up unaware of his magical heritage until Albus Dumbledore visited him.

During his time at Hogwarts, Riddle cultivated an image of charm and brilliance, earning the admiration of teachers and students alike. However, beneath this facade lay a deep-seated thirst for power and immortality. He began experimenting with dark magic, including Horcruxes, to achieve these goals.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Riddle worked briefly at Borgin and Burkes before fully embracing his path of darkness. He adopted the alias "Lord Voldemort" and amassed a following of Death Eaters, terrorizing the wizarding world and seeking to purify it of Muggle-born witches and wizards.
