The Gryffindor Knight Statue is a silent, inanimate guardian within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It stands in the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, hidden behind a tapestry of the Fat Lady.

The statue's primary function is to serve as a security measure. To access the Gryffindor common room after hours, students must correctly provide the current password. If given, the Gryffindor Knight Statue will swivel aside, revealing a hole behind it through which students can crawl to enter.

While the Gryffindor Knight Statue does not possess any active role in the narrative beyond guarding the entrance to Gryffindor Tower, it is a recognizable and iconic element of the Gryffindor common room setting. Its presence adds to the sense of history, security, and tradition associated with the house of Gryffindor.
