Tormund Giantsbane, often referred to as Tormund Giantsbane, Tall-talker, Horn-blower, and Breaker of Ice, is a prominent wildling warrior in HBO's Game of Thrones. He's fiercely loyal to those he respects and a formidable fighter.

Initially presented as a high-ranking member of Mance Rayder's army, Tormund plays a key role in the wildling assault on the Wall. Following Mance Rayder's death, he becomes a key advisor to Jon Snow, advocating for an alliance between the Night's Watch and the Free Folk to combat the threat of the White Walkers.

Tormund's legendary status within the Free Folk is rooted in his purported strength and bravery. He claims to have killed a giant in his youth, earning him the moniker "Giantsbane." He is also known for his boisterous personality, a penchant for tall tales, and a surprisingly charming and loyal nature. He develops a strong affection for Brienne of Tarth, often expressing it humorously and persistently.

Throughout the series, Tormund fights alongside Jon Snow against the Boltons and the White Walkers, solidifying his position as a vital ally in the fight for survival against the existential threat beyond the Wall. He survives the Battle of Winterfell and ultimately journeys North of the Wall with the remaining Free Folk.
