Unlike core Pokémon series protagonists, this Trainer lacks a canonical name, backstory, or personality. Their sole purpose is to explore the real world, collect Pokémon, battle at Gyms, and participate in Raids. Their identity is fundamentally tied to the individual user controlling them, making them a personalized extension of the player within the Pokémon Go universe.

Visual cues, like the default orange outfit, are simply design choices to provide a recognizable image for promotional materials and in-game tutorials. The Trainer's capabilities and accomplishments within the game are a direct reflection of the player's engagement and skill.
