Ghost, portrayed by Hannah John-Kamen, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), specifically appearing in the 2018 film Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Her real name is Ava Starr, and she suffers from "quantum entanglement" as a result of an accident involving her parents' research into the Quantum Realm. This accident left her with the ability to phase through solid objects, but also causes her immense pain and instability.
Driven by her deteriorating condition, Ava is manipulated by Bill Foster to steal Pym Particles, hoping to stabilize her molecular structure using the Quantum Realm. This puts her in conflict with Ant-Man, the Wasp, and Hank Pym, who are trying to prevent her from potentially destroying herself and others in the process.
In the film's conclusion, while she is not cured, her condition is stabilized somewhat due to assistance from Janet van Dyne.
