Carl Grimes is a central character in the AMC television series, The Walking Dead, based on the comic book series of the same name. He is the son of Rick and Lori Grimes.
Carl first appears in the inaugural episode of the TV show, "Days Gone Bye". Initially portrayed as a young, innocent boy, Carl is forced to mature rapidly in the face of the zombie apocalypse. He learns to use firearms and defend himself and his group.
