Steel Raven, also known as Lorraine Lewis, is a relatively obscure character within the Marvel Universe, primarily associated with the New Universe imprint.
Lorraine was a medical student when she was exposed to the "White Event", the cataclysmic event that created paranormal abilities within the New Universe. This event granted her the power to generate a metallic exoskeleton, essentially becoming living steel. She could also fly.
As Steel Raven, Lorraine used her abilities for heroics. She was involved in several storylines within the New Universe titles, primarily appearing in the titles Kickers, Inc. and Mark Hazzard: Merc. These appearances typically involved action-oriented plots with a focus on the more grounded, real-world tone that defined the New Universe.
Following the end of the New Universe imprint, Steel Raven largely disappeared from Marvel continuity. She has made very few appearances in the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616), remaining a minor character known mostly for her ties to the largely forgotten New Universe.
