Adda the White, often referred to as Princess Adda, is a complex figure from the Witcher universe. She is the daughter of King Foltest of Temeria, born as a striga as a result of a curse laid upon her mother, also named Adda, while she was pregnant.

The circumstances surrounding Adda's birth are shrouded in political intrigue and magical interference. Her initial form as a striga, a monstrous undead creature, terrorized the kingdom for years, feeding on the villagers and remaining active only at night.

Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher, was eventually contracted to deal with the striga. Rather than simply slaying the creature, Geralt employed a risky method, forcing Adda to remain in her crypt throughout the night until sunrise, breaking the curse and restoring her to a human-like, albeit unstable, state.

Adda's life after being de-cursed was marked by the challenges of adapting to human society and grappling with the lingering effects of her monstrous past. She later became a significant figure in Temerian politics.
