Biography:
Seven of Nine, portrayed by Jeri Ryan, is a prominent character in the Star Trek universe, specifically in the Star Trek: Voyager TV show.
Annika Hansen was assimilated by the Borg Collective at a young age. She became designated Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One. Severed from her humanity and identity for years, she became a drone functioning as part of the Borg.
Her first appearance was in the fourth season premiere of Star Trek: Voyager titled "Scorpion, Part II." Captain Kathryn Janeway severed her from the Borg Collective. Over time she was slowly re-integrated into a more human way of life aboard the USS Voyager.
Throughout the series, Seven of Nine grapples with regaining her individuality and developing emotions. She becomes a valuable member of the Voyager crew, using her unique Borg knowledge to assist in their journey home.
