Dan Hibiki
Brand:
Onlinesailin
Theme:
Street Fighter
Biography:
Dan Hibiki is a character in the Street Fighter video game series. Introduced in Street Fighter Alpha, Dan serves primarily as a comedic character, parodying other fighting game characters, specifically Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia from SNK's Art of Fighting.
Dan is portrayed as an overconfident but ultimately weak and inept martial artist. He claims to have created his own fighting style, Saikyo-ryu ("Strongest Style"), which is largely ineffective. His moves are often exaggerated, poorly executed versions of techniques used by other fighters.
His primary motivation is to avenge his father's death at the hands of Sagat. This personal vendetta fuels his often misguided and comical attempts to prove himself as a formidable fighter. Despite his lack of skill and tendency for humiliation, Dan remains optimistic and determined, becoming a recurring character in various Street Fighter installments. He occasionally demonstrates surprising moments of competence amidst his general incompetence.
