Biography:
Richard B. Riddick, primarily portrayed by Vin Diesel, is a Furyan anti-hero known for his enhanced eyesight that allows him to see in the dark. He is a highly skilled fighter and survivalist, often forced into violent confrontations.
Riddick's first cinematic appearance was in the movie Pitch Black (2000), where he was a dangerous criminal being transported when the spaceship carrying him crashed on a dark, predator-infested planet. He reluctantly allies with the survivors to escape.
The character returns in The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), which explores his Furyan heritage and his role in a galaxy-wide conflict. Vin Diesel returned once more to play Riddick in the third installment in the franchise, simply titled Riddick (2013)
