Dr. Emmett Brown, most famously known as "Doc" Brown, is a fictional scientist and inventor portrayed by Christopher Lloyd in the Back to the Future film trilogy.
Doc's first appearance was in the 1985 film, Back to the Future, where he invents a time-traveling DeLorean, inadvertently sending teenager Marty McFly back to 1955.
Eccentric and often appearing disheveled, Doc is nonetheless a brilliant physicist and engineer. His inventions, though sometimes dangerous, are driven by a genuine desire to explore the possibilities of science and improve the future.
He dedicates his life to temporal mechanics, building and improving his time machine, and playing a crucial role in ensuring the timeline remains stable, albeit with numerous comedic mishaps along the way.
