Biography:

Radagast the Brown is a wizard in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, first appearing in The Hobbit.

He is one of the five Istari (wizards) sent to Middle-earth to combat Sauron. Unlike Gandalf and Saruman, Radagast is deeply connected to nature, preferring the company of animals to Men. He resides at Rhosgobel, near the borders of Mirkwood Forest.

In Peter Jackson's film adaptation of The Hobbit, Radagast is portrayed as somewhat eccentric and more overtly connected to the natural world, including his use of a rabbit-pulled sled.
