Max Rebo is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, a blue Ortolan musician who played the keyboard-like Red Ball Jett organ. He is best known as the leader of the Max Rebo Band, a popular musical group that performed at Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

The Max Rebo Band provided entertainment for Jabba and his clientele, playing upbeat and exotic tunes. Rebo himself was a dedicated and, at times, gluttonous musician, often more interested in the food provided at the palace than the dangers surrounding him.

After Jabba's death during Luke Skywalker's rescue of Han Solo, the fate of Max Rebo and his band is somewhat ambiguous. While not explicitly shown perishing, it's implied that the band's time at Jabba's palace came to an end with his demise. Despite his limited screen time, Max Rebo has become a memorable and beloved character within the Star Wars fandom, primarily due to his distinctive appearance and catchy music.
