Hope van Dyne is the MCU's Wasp, first appearing as Hope van Dyne in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man (2015).

Initially estranged from her father, Hank Pym, due to the perceived circumstances surrounding her mother Janet van Dyne's death, Hope eventually learns the truth and reconciles with him. Hank then trains her to become the Wasp, utilizing a more advanced version of the Ant-Man suit.

Hope possesses similar abilities to Ant-Man, including the power to shrink to minuscule sizes and grow to enormous sizes. Her Wasp suit also grants her flight capabilities through deployable wings and energy blasts. She officially took on the mantle in the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and has since become a key member of the Avengers.
