Jaina Solo is a prominent character in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, specifically in the Legends continuity. She is the daughter of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, and twin sister to Jacen Solo (later Darth Caedus) and older sister to Anakin Solo. Born five minutes after her brother Jacen, she exhibited strong Force abilities from a young age.

Trained as a Jedi Knight by Luke Skywalker at his Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4, Jaina proved to be a skilled pilot and mechanic, inheriting her father's talent for starship modification and piloting. She formed a close bond with her brother Jacen, but the pair eventually diverged in their paths.

Jaina played a crucial role in numerous conflicts throughout the Expanded Universe, including the Yuuzhan Vong War, where she distinguished herself as a leader and a formidable warrior. She eventually became known as the "Sword of the Jedi," a title reflecting her dedication to the light side of the Force and her skill in combat.

Tragically, Jaina was forced to confront her brother Jacen after he fell to the dark side and became Darth Caedus. In a final, devastating duel, she defeated and killed him, saving the galaxy but bearing the immense emotional burden of taking her own brother's life.
