Android 16, designated KF8033, is a powerful android character featured in the popular anime series Dragon Ball Z.
He was created by Dr. Gero, also known as Android 20, with the primary directive to eliminate Goku. Unlike his counterparts Android 17 and Android 18, Android 16 possessed a gentle nature and a deep love for the Earth and its creatures.
Android 16's first appearance is during the Android Saga of Dragon Ball Z. While initially inactive, he is eventually awakened by Androids 17 and 18.
Despite his programming, he often acted as a mediator between the other androids and the Z Fighters. Ultimately, Android 16's sacrifice, where he urged Gohan to unleash his hidden power, proved pivotal in defeating Cell.
