Stargate

Apophis was a Goa'uld System Lord and one of the primary antagonists in the early seasons of Stargate SG-1. He served as Ra's First Prime and was a formidable foe, commanding vast armies and possessing advanced technology. Apophis was known for his ruthlessness, ambition, and desire to conquer the galaxy.

He was responsible for kidnapping Sha're, Daniel Jackson's wife, and impregnating her with a Goa'uld symbiote, Amaunet, Apophis's queen. This act fueled much of SG-1's pursuit of him. He also brainwashed Teal'c, leading the Jaffa warrior to serve him faithfully for many years before Teal'c's eventual defection and joining SG-1.

Throughout his reign, Apophis suffered several defeats at the hands of SG-1. He was seemingly killed multiple times, only to return through various means such as sarcophagi and Goa'uld resurrection techniques. Despite his repeated resurrections, Apophis was finally and definitively destroyed, becoming a major stepping stone for the team to face even larger threats. His ambition and persistence made him a memorable and significant enemy in the Stargate universe.
