Stargate

Teal'c is a fictional character from the science fiction television series Stargate SG-1. He is a Jaffa, a member of a genetically engineered race who serve the Goa'uld, parasitic aliens who masquerade as gods.

Originally the First Prime of Apophis, a powerful Goa'uld System Lord, Teal'c undergoes a profound moral awakening. He recognizes the Goa'uld as false gods and dedicates himself to their destruction and the liberation of his people.

Joining SG-1, a special operations team from Earth, Teal'c offers his combat skills, knowledge of Goa'uld technology and culture, and unwavering dedication to their mission. He becomes a crucial member of the team, forming strong bonds of friendship with his teammates, especially Colonel Jack O'Neill.

Teal'c's character arc focuses on his struggle with his past, the prejudice he faces from humans who mistrust his Jaffa heritage, and his dedication to a future where the Jaffa are free from Goa'uld control. He is a stoic, honorable warrior who ultimately finds peace and purpose fighting for a just cause.
