Chamber, also known as Jonothon "Jono" Starsmore, is a mutant character appearing in Marvel Comics. His powers manifested explosively during his teenage years, destroying his mouth and chest and leaving him with a psionic energy furnace where his vital organs should be.

As a result, Chamber relies on channeling psionic energy for survival. He can project this energy as powerful blasts or use it to create force fields. He doesn't need to eat, drink, or breathe in a conventional manner.

Jono was initially a member of Generation X, a team of young mutants mentored by Banshee and Emma Frost. He struggled with the visible disfigurement and the limitations it placed on his life. He often presented a brooding and withdrawn personality, masking his insecurity.

Later, he joined the X-Men and has been involved in various mutant-related conflicts. His powers have fluctuated throughout his history, sometimes becoming unstable or even disappearing temporarily. He has consistently strived to control his abilities and find acceptance despite his unusual condition.
