Boom Boom, whose real name is Tabitha Smith, is a Marvel Comics character known for her mutant ability to create "time bombs" of energy, which she calls "boomers." These are small, explosive spheres of plasma that she can mentally control and detonate.

First appearing in Secret Wars II #5 in 1985, Tabitha initially used the codename Time Bomb. She later became a member of various X-Men related teams, including the New Mutants, X-Force, and Nextwave.

Boom Boom has a rebellious and somewhat naive personality. Her power manifests as pink, sparkling energy. While initially capable of only small, concussive blasts, her control and power have increased over time.

Beyond her explosive abilities, Tabitha is known for her street smarts and resourcefulness. She's a survivor who adapts quickly to new situations, even if she occasionally jumps to conclusions or acts impulsively.
