Night Man is a superhero character originally created by Steve Englehart and first appearing in *Night Man* #1, published by Malibu Comics in 1993.
The character is Johnny Domino, a saxophonist who gains superpowers after being struck by a stray cable car during a San Francisco blackout. The accident embeds a piece of metal in his brain, allowing him to "see" evil thoughts and project a field of darkness.
He uses these abilities to fight crime as Night Man, a nocturnal vigilante operating in San Francisco.
