Nightcrawler, also known as Kurt Wagner, is a mutant character associated with the X-Men. Born with a unique physiology, he possesses indigo-colored fur, pointed ears, yellow eyes, a prehensile tail, and only three digits on his hands and two on his feet.
Nightcrawler's most prominent power is his ability to teleport, allowing him to instantly move himself and others across short distances, leaving behind a cloud of brimstone-smelling smoke. He is also highly agile and acrobatic. Nightcrawler's origin story is complex, involving a demonic father and a shapeshifting mutant mother.
His first appearance in animation was in the cartoon *Pryde of the X-Men* (1989).
