Inque is a fictional character appearing in the DC Animated Universe, primarily within the Batman Beyond series. Her first appearance was in the episode "Black Out" (1999).

She is a shapeshifting metahuman and a recurring antagonist to Terry McGinnis's Batman. Formerly a corporate saboteur employed by Powers Technology, her transformation occurred during a mission to infiltrate a rival company, which exposed her to a experimental mutagen called PG-8127.

This mutagen granted her the ability to transform her body into a semi-liquid, inky substance, allowing her to alter her shape, size, and even mimic the appearance of others. While her powers provide her with incredible strength, agility, and infiltration capabilities, she requires periodic exposure to the mutagen to maintain her form, which often leads her to commit crimes to obtain it.

Inque's motivations are primarily driven by self-preservation and a desire to control her powers. She often attempts to exploit her abilities for personal gain or revenge against those who wronged her. Though often presented as a villain, there have been instances where she begrudgingly allies with Batman when their interests align.
