A Skiff Guard in Jabba the Hutt's employ, Weequay warriors were responsible for overseeing prisoners and maintaining order during executions on the Great Pit of Carkoon.
During Luke Skywalker's rescue mission of Han Solo, a group of guards were stationed aboard the desert skiffs, tasked with ensuring the prisoners did not escape. They engaged in combat with Luke, Leia, Lando, and Chewbacca.
Notable guards included Vedain, a particularly skilled Weequay warrior, and various unnamed guards who fell victim to Luke's lightsaber skills and the chaos of the battle. They used vibro-axes and other melee weapons.
The Skiff Guards ultimately failed to prevent the prisoners' escape and suffered heavy losses. Several fell into the Sarlacc pit, marking a disastrous defeat for Jabba's forces.
