Biography:
Evan Sabahnur, more widely known as Kid Apocalypse or Genesis, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He is a young mutant clone of the ancient and powerful mutant Apocalypse.
Created by Rick Remender and Jerome Opeña, Evan first appeared in Uncanny X-Force #1 in 2010. Initially unaware of his origins, he was raised in a peaceful farming community and exhibited a naive and heroic personality. His powers, including shapeshifting, superhuman strength, and energy manipulation, began to manifest.
However, his lineage to Apocalypse cast a dark shadow over his life. Several forces sought to either corrupt him and mold him into the next Apocalypse or eliminate him as a threat. Fantomex, a member of X-Force, believed that the best way to ensure Evan's good nature was to proactively kill him as a child.
Throughout his storyline, Evan struggled with his destiny, grappling with the potential for evil inherent in his genetic makeup. He received mentorship from various X-Men members, particularly Wolverine, who aimed to guide him towards heroism. Despite facing numerous challenges and temptations, Evan continuously fought against succumbing to his darker potential.
