Spider Bytez is a relatively recent addition to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, debuting in the 2012 animated series.
She is a mutant spider, formerly a human scientist named Dr. Tyler Rockwell who worked closely with mutagen. Her transformation was caused by the Kraang's experiments, twisting her DNA and bonding her with a spider.
Initially hostile and driven by instinct due to the traumatic transformation, Spider Bytez eventually regains her humanity and intellect with the help of the Turtles and Dr. Rockwell's former lab assistant April O'Neil. She becomes an ally to the Turtles, utilizing her scientific knowledge and unique spider abilities to assist them in their battles against the Kraang and other threats.
Her spider powers include wall-crawling, web-shooting, enhanced strength and agility, and a limited degree of precognition, often manifesting as "spider sense." While visually monstrous, she retains a strong moral compass and a desire to use her intelligence for good, making her a valuable asset to the Turtles' team.
